CLASSES
In my classes, everyone works on a personnel project. This gives everyone the possibility to work with different techniques in the same class. I find it very inspiring to see how different projects on different materials evolve. So there is no specific schedule for stone or clay, nor are there classes by level...
The classes often begin with a technical exercise that will last about half an hour. These exercices will allow you to get your eyes and hands trained. Depending on the week we will be working on anatomy, proportions, a specific tool or technique.
Then every one takes their personal project, and I help in your personal creative process. The aim being to give to each person the necessary tools and/or advices.
I can arrange lessons in English and Spanish.

Clay Modeling
Whether it’s your first time or your 100th time, clay is always a discovery. Let your hands speak, learn how to express what is deep inside you through this alternative/different language.
- Understanding how the clay works, modeling techniques and elaboration of your sculpture.
-
Stone carving
Learn how to carve stone such as soapstone, limestone and alabaster.
Soapstone : a good stone to start caving with because of its softness. There are several colors and/or veins and you can achieve a beautiful result with little experience.
Limestone: there are many different types of limestones. At my studio you have the possibility to work on a Burgundy stone, a slightly beige limestone that is easy to carve. You will start with a bas- or high-relief, then you can move on to a 3D sculpture or on a harder stone.
Alabaster: harder than soapstone and stands translucent. It was formerly called the antic's marble. Some are white, white veined with red, caramel, brown or black (harder).
