Two embraced hands or maybe a « perfect » reationship archetype – Bronze – 2019

Through this sort of project, I'm studying, what sometimes seem to me a great mystery, how relationships between human beings. Casting is for me another way of understanding the art of portrait.
Our memory can also be another filter. And what often surprises me is that our most vivid me-mories are not always an image, but can be a smell, a voice, a gesture... One of my personal Proust madeleine is the smell of a certain lipstick... and suddenly arise the smell of my mother. I never realised until she died that lipstick had a smell.
And that's what brought me to body casting, as our hands and the way we move them seems to me to be personal. Through casting, I try to capture the emotion, the essence of the link between people, between people and things. And I try order to render that something unique that makes that this hand can only be yours.
